Japanese fast-casual · Orange County
OniGuru is a Japanese fast-casual restaurant across Orange County — hand-shaped onigiri (rice balls), fresh signature poke bowls, and rice bowls. Not sushi. Not raw. Just fresh, savory, portable Japanese food.
Itadakimasu
A short, focused Japanese menu — onigiri pressed by hand, poke bowls built to order, and the sides that make a counter meal feel like a sit-down lunch.
Pressed by hand daily — never machine-formed.
Ahi, salmon, Hawaiian, or vegan Tofu Yuzu — already perfected.
Cooked, cured, pickled — all approachable.
Real vegan and gluten-free options at every counter.
Onigiri have been a Japanese staple for over a thousand years — rice, packed with something savory, wrapped in nori, eaten with your hands. We added a poke counter, planted three stores across Orange County, and called it OniGuru.
Onigiri pressed by hand every morning. Rice cooked to texture, nori kept crisp until you eat it.
Spicy Ahi, Classic Salmon, Hawaiian, or vegan Tofu Yuzu — four bowls already perfected.
Cooked, cured, or pickled fillings. Approachable Japanese — no rolls, no surprises, all flavor.
Wrapped to keep nori crisp. Built for desks, hikes, beach mornings, school pickups, road trips.
Three ingredients, one technique, a thousand years of practice. Every onigiri at OniGuru is pressed by hand — triangle, oval, or round — with the filling pressed inside, then wrapped in nori at the moment you order. That's why ours stays crisp.
From SteelCraft Garden Grove to The Shops at Mission Viejo — three OniGuru locations across OC, all serving the same hand-shaped onigiri and fresh poke.

We built OniGuru so that getting a great Japanese lunch didn't have to mean a sushi reservation, a 30-minute wait, or wondering if it's raw. Hand-shaped rice, savory fillings, fresh poke. That's it.
Every onigiri pressed by hand each morning at the counter. Rice cooked to the right texture, fillings prepped fresh, nori added at the moment you order.
Onigiri are pre-shaped and ready to grab — typically under a minute. Poke and rice bowls take about five minutes. Order ahead and skip the line.
Vegan onigiri (Veggie Mix), vegan poke (Tofu Yuzu), gluten-free flexibility, and kid-friendly portions. Not an afterthought — on the menu.
Hungry now? Order ahead and skip the line. Pick your location, grab a few onigiri, a poke, or a rice bowl — we'll have it waiting at the counter. Pay, pick up, eat. That's it.
